Thorondor departed Middle-earth some time after the end of the First Age. , he flew back to his master's halls on Taniquetil and soared in the airs of the Undying Lands. but the New evil has forced Manwe to send thorondor back to middle Earth to help the new elven lords to end the new evil that has taken hold of middle earth.
